When Window Hinges become stiff they can sometimes break. A broken hinge commonly leads to a window which will not close properly, normally on the back edge. This leads to a nasty draught, and noise from the outside world entering the room. The good new is, stiff and broken window hinges can be replaced with new hinges which leave your window easy to open and close as it should!
Window Handles which are stuff and broken are also a common problem. This is often caused by the locking mechanism within the window corroding and becoming stiff over time. Replacing the handle alone can often solve the problem, sometimes however, it is necessary to take a deeper look at the mechanism itself. The good news is both handles and mechanisms can be replaced if necessary, restoring your window to it's original working condition!
